We are currently seeking to add BERWYN BETTY’S MOBILE MAKERS to our business for those interested in learning the trade to craft beautiful bath bombs and working within the larger community at events. The MOBILE MAKER is responsible for creating the primary products of BERWYN BETTY’S and for providing the BERWYN BETTY’S experience to community and private events in the greater Chicagoland area. The position is responsible for both educating and delighting the community on how to create bath bombs while evangelizing the BERWYN BETTY’S mission.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Learn the craft and master the making of a variety of bomb shapes, and other bath products in a mobile environment.
- Regular use of hands and good degree of hand dexterity.
- Lead bath bomb making educational and fun workshops at private and public events.
- Energetic, outgoing, patient, positive communicator, and ambassador to the Chicagoland community at events.
- Stock trailer with ingredients, toys and fresh aprons needed for shift and secure all back in trailer prior to leaving event site.
- Collect any balance due at end of event.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Comfortable with pulling trailer with provided company vehicle.
- Hard working, positive, punctual, and reliable.
- Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and work independently when needed.
- Position’s hours will vary depending on the number of bookings and locations. Position is part-time but could be full-time if candidate is prepared to perform workshop-based Maker duties as well.
- Master making a variety of bomb shapes, and other bath products.
- Upon return to workshop, perform all necessary supporting duties, including: Emptying trailer of aprons, toys and bin of ingredients; Wiping down the trailer; and Starting load of laundry.
- Regularly walk, sit, bend, stoop, stand, step up, reach as well as physically lift up to 25lbs throughout shift.
Compensation
- Starting hourly pay of $18-$20/hour DOE.
